Mammographic-Screening

In June 2002 the government decided to establish a program for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. Within this program all women with the age of 50 to 69 are invited every two years.
Special trained radiographers make the X-ray images of the breasts that are interpreted by 3 specific skilled doctors (> 5000 mammographies). The aim is that pathological changings are detected in an early stadium in order to achieve better therapy results.
