Curative Mammography

The mammography is the X-ray examination of the breast. Our used digital technique achieves a higher resolution with a reduced radiation exposure for the patient. Before the exam the patient is consulted and examined by the radiologist (inspection and palpation).
The breasts are applied on plates and carefully compressed. This compression is needed for a better image quality and a more exact diagnose. Two pictures (from above and oblique) are made per breast, only in special cases extra-images are necessary.

The whole examination time is about 5 minutes.
